Strange gorges, vast high altitude valleys and salt lakes of breathtaking beauty are
on the roadside of the trek of the nomads of Rupshu and a nameless mountain towering over the blue Tsomoriri Lake waits to be visited.
2 days coach ride takes us from the Indian Lowland to Manali, valley of the Hindu Gods. Further via Rohtang Pass to Buddhist Lahul, then over Baralacha Pass, to the start of our trek. Via Morang Pass and the Canyons of upper Zanskar river, we reach high altitude valleys and salt lakes of Rupshu, homeland of
rare water birds and the Tibetan Kyang. Camp on the bank of Tsokar Lake.
Via Kazur-Lawe trek to the Kiager + Tsomoriri lakes. Visit Karzok Gompa, monastery in the only village at Tsomoriri lake. Trip will end
with a jeep tour through Indus valley and sightseeing of Buddhist monasteries + other cultural places around Leh.
