Set against the backdrop of the stunning Western Himalaya, this truly awesome cycling holiday is a challenge for anybody. The scenery, the culture and the wonderful sense of accomplishment at the end will make every pedal stroke worth the pain and effort. You will see countless Buddhist temples, nomadic shepherds and their flocks on the high plains, an almost solidified mineral lake and spectacular views of the Himalayas throughout the trip. The climax of the ride is conquering the massive Kardung La pass at 18380 feet altitude. Forget anywhere else this is the highest motorable road in the world.
The trip is fully escorted from beginning to end with support vehicle, English speaking guide, camp manager, cook and helpers. Accommodation is a combination of Hotel, Guest house and Camping. All meals are provided on the ride and Breakfast and Dinner whilst in the hotels.
The trip can be extended by one day to visit Agra and see the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and other Mughal spectacles.
